FF5 Jobs

With the power of the crystal shards, characters can obtain different jobs to get certain skills. Although some jobs don't have attributes others have, they have ones that the others don't. By combing abilities, you can create a set of skills that suit you.

Knight
A good job for beginners, this job gives the character more HP and higher guard. Good with swords and daggers.
Special Skill:Guard

Monk
Also has lots of HP. This is the only job that won't allow the user to equip weapons or shields, but will make base attack power stronger.
Special Skill: Kick

2Barefistlets the character have the same attack power as a monk - cannot equip weapons or shields

Thief
Useful for getting around quickly and finding secret passages. Although stronger weapons and armor are not compatible, the skills are worth obtaining.

Not very many abilities here, but they will serve you well. High HP and defense. Compatible with Lances, short swords, and most armor and shields.

Ninja
Not the greatest job around, but you can get the throw and 2-sword command. Compatible with a variety of weapons.

2Twinduplicate a copy of self to increase evading
3FirstatkIncreases Pre-emptive attack rate
4ThrowThrow weapons in battle to deal damage
52 SwordCan equip two weapons at a time; attack twice
Samurai
With some practice, this job may make the most out of the user. Don't lose too much money though!

Beserker
A strong job to have, but loses the ability to use commands other than attack, due to the 'beserk' abnormal status. Only a couple of abilities.

Hunter
A fair job that makes up with the Sshot, which attacks 4 times. Uses bows.

Sorcerer
A job combination of magic and swords. The advantage of this job, is the ability to cast magic and use swords, right from the start.

Trainer

Bard
Not the best job to keep. This job fares low HP and skills that aren't very useful. The only skill you might want to use is the levelup song.

Dancer
Another fairly weak job. Dances have different effects when used. Few abilities. Only job that allows characters to use ribbons. Can't use strong weapons.

Mime
A secret job you can get in the third world. Although it's only one ability, it is quite useful when you need it.

Bare (no job)
Although this job isn't so special, you will have the chance to use any weapons, strong or weak, and you get to use two different abilities, because you can't get abilities from this job. Moderate HP.
